One simple way to make breastfeeding easier is to have a basket handy with all the
essentials you may need during a feeding session. This can be especially helpful during
those late-night breastfeeds when you are too tired to think straight. Some items to include in
your basket are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
1. Water: You\u2019ll get super thirsty, so be sure to have a bottle of water nearby at all times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
2. Snacks: When you\u2019re breastfeeding you\u2019ll need an extra 500 calories. You can get
hungry, so having some healthy snacks on hand can help keep your energy levels up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
3. Breast pads: Leaking is a common occurrence for new mums, so having some breast
pads handy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
4. Burp cloth: Babies often vomit after feeding, so having a burp cloth nearby can save you
